Whatever you drive was called before, it'll rename it to "Install OS X Mavericks" and it'll have an "Install OS X Mavericks" app inside of it. ![]() If you wish to continue type (Y) then press return: yĮrasing Disk: 0%. To continue we need to erase the disk at /Volumes/BLUEDABBADE. So be sure you have a large enough thumb drive for this (perhaps 6GB).$ sudo /Applications/Install \ OS \ X \ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia -volume /Volumes/BLUEDABBADE -applicationpath /Applications/Install \ OS \ X \ Mavericks.app That’s it! Unfortunately, I did NOT have a large enough USB Thumb Drive (mine was only 4 GBs).
